My new book, First Time Author, came out on Saturday night at a launch party hosted by Champlain Books in Burlington. I think of it as a minefield map. It’s not a how-to-write-a-book template, but a guide to many of the ways in which someone setting out to write a book for the first time may go wrong, and how to survive those moments of confusion and self-doubt, how to avoid self-sabotage. I’ve now written 14 books myself, and I’ve helped dozens of others write their first book, so I know where the mines are buried. Anyone you know who is thinking of writing a book should have a copy.
